ASICS Men's Gel-Lyte V Running Shoes - Lightweight Comfortable Sneakers for Jogging, Gym & Casual Wear | Breathable Mesh & Gel Cushioning Technology

I've been searching for the sock-fit insole for over 20 years. Best damn idea used in a sports shoe since they thought of EVA foam or breathable fabric. The shoe fit tight along the sides, so when I order again I'll go one size up from my usual. The sole is the slightly old-school kind, lacking rubber bits on the bottom, so beware of traction issues. Also, it will be comfortable for a few months and then flatten out like a pancake. But man, while it lasts it's like a cloud. Totally worth the buy.These shoes are amazing. They have so much cushion. Since I am a woman, they do look a little bulgy on me. People say go with a size bigger but if you are a woman, I would say go with your actual size. I think the shoes are just narrow for men. The difference between woman and men's asics is 1.5 a size. If you are a 7 normally, you would be a 5.5 in men's. I got a half size bigger like everyone suggested and I wish I hadn't. BTW the tongue of the shoe is attached.. its "sock like". I don't mind it, but some people might.This is the second pair of Gel-Lyte V's that I have bought. They fit "Somewhat Small" compared to other manufacturers. They are extremely comfortable and the tongue is connected to the rest of the part that goes around the ankle and it stretches, so you can tie them looser and still have a snug and comfortable fit without having to worry about the tongue of the shoe moving around on you. I have been complimented on both pairs numerous times and they are my go-to for casual days when I know I'll be on my feet for the majority of the day.First and foremost, I'm an avid Asics buyer, I get both the running and fashion sneakers, and even though I have wide feet, they are comfortable and fit me well. They look great and I wear an 11. I gave it 4 stars because even though the 11 that I bought in this case fit, I would say that half a size bigger, so an 11.5, would have been better. Perhaps it's this particular style only. I would rebuy larger.I’m not sure about the description “Men’s”. I ordered for my husband’s size 8 foot and he couldn’t get on his foot. I tried them on my size 8 women’s foot and they are a perfect fit.It may be the variety of sizes listed are indeed for the separate sexes. Still the description says “Men’s”. I did request to return and the shipper replied to Amazon immediately approving the return. I received an approval same day of my request. Impressive! I ended up keeping because they did fit me and are ridiculously comfortable!I normally wear a size 11 in every brand of shoes. These fit someone small. I originally purchased them in size 11, and I returned them for a size 12. I would suggest you go one whole size bigger. The shoe feel very nice and comfortable. I used them in Thailand were the wife and I would average walking 6 miles a day. They were good, and I’m glad I took them for the trip.It looks really good in real life as opposed to the picture!I sized up half, but even then it feels wayyy too tight. So I'll be returning and maybe getting a whole size up...These shoes look great. They look incredibly sharp and go well with most any casual attire. However if you have wide feet avoid them. They are painfully narrow. I know all shoes have a break-in period and will stretch with time but when I put these on they were so tight I ended up with cuts on my feet. If they stretched they would lose the overall sleekness of their design.
