The description says blue chips which would lead one to believe it was made with textured blue chips, something that would give reason for such a high price. Just smooth plastic with shades of blue. Sturdy enough and well made otherwise, just looks cheap. Really sorry I purchased it. These clips are too expensive to have to throw them away before they are ever used.
