Bottom part of the case is solid and stays connected to the Airpod case. However, the lid cover is made up of two pieces of plastic with each covering half the lid. The lid cover breaks off pretty easily and splits apart. Sometimes when I grab my Airpods off my desk too fast/hard or when I drop my Airpods the lid cover will fall apart.Wouldn't protect my Airpod very much if part of the case falls off very easily.
